Chief Minister’s Overseas Scholarship Scheme for Minorities

For students aspiring to study in Abroad for Higher studies in Post Graduate and Doctoral Courses government enhanced scholarship grant from Rs.10.00 lakhs to Rs. 20.00lakhs.

The fees shall be payable in two equal installments as follows:

1st Installment: An amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs or the actual fee (whichever is less) shall be payable to the Students upon production of the landing permit/1-94 Card (Immigration Card).

2nd Instalment: An amount of Rs.10.00 Lakhs of the actual fee (whichever is less) shall be payable to the Students upon production of the 1st Semester Results.

Age Limit: The qualifying upper age limit for applicants for the scheme shall not exceed 35 years as on 1st July of the year.

One-way ticket fare shall be paid to the selected candidates.

Qualification:

(1) For Post Graduate Course: 60% marks or equivalent grade in foundation Degree in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences / Medicine and Nursing / Social Sciences / Humanities.

(2) For Ph.D. Courses: 60% marks or equivalent grade in P.G. course in Engineering / Management / Pure Sciences / Agriculture Sciences / Medicine / Social Sciences / Humanities.

Important Documents:

The student shall submit the following documents:

  1. Caste Certificate from Mee Seva;
  2. Income Certificate from Mee Seva;
  3. Date of Birth Certificate;
  4. Aadhaar Card;
  5. E-pass ID Number;
  6. Residential / Nativity Certificate;
  7. Passport copy;
  8. Mark sheet from SSC/Inter/Graduate/PG Level;
  9. GRE / GMAT or equivalent qualifying exam / test score card;
  10. TOFEL/IELTS score card;
  11. Admission offer letter from Foreign University (I-20, letter of Admission or equivalent);
  12. Copy of the latest Tax assessment is to be enclosed;
  13. Copy of bank pass book of Nationalised Bank;
  14. Photo;

 Mandatory Requirements:

{1} The candidates must have a valid TOEFL/ IELTS & GRE/ GMAT

{2} The candidate must have secured admission in an accredited Foreign University.

{3} The candidates must be holding a valid Passport.

{4} This is the requirement of the scheme that the candidate make their own efforts in obtaining admission in accredited University/Institution abroad.

{5} If the candidates selected under the scheme, he/she must have join the concerned university within 1 year of announcement of selection. Once the candidate shall not do the same then in this case, the award will be cancelled.

{6} the candidate are not able to change the course of study or research for
which the scholarship has been sanctioned to her/him.

{7} To obtain the appropriate visa will be the duty of the selected candidates. The visa should be a country wherein the candidate propose to study further under the scheme and the Visa issuing authorities may have to see that only such type of visa be issued which only allow the candidate to pursue specified course abroad and after that the candidate returns to India.

{8} The application should be complete in all manner consist with all the required document.
